Apple has released watchOS 5.1.2 (build 16S46) for Apple Watch users, which brings the ECG app and abnormal heart rhythm notifications to Series 4 customers in the United States.
Also new in this update are new complications for the Infograph watch face, which finally gets Messages, along with complications for other Apple apps such as Mail, Home, Phone, Remote, Friends, Maps and Find My Friends.
For users of the Walkie-Talkie app on Apple Watch, a shortcut for the app is now available in Control Center, saving users time from hunting for the app.
Apple also says you will now receive notifications and animated celebrations when you achieve daily maximum points in an Activity competition as well.
To download watchOS 5.1.2, head over to the Watch app on your iPhone, then go to General > Software Update.
We’ll confirm shortly if the ECG app can be accessed via the Apple News workaround for Canadian Series 4 users, as many are expecting.
