watchOS 6 Beta 5 Download Enables the ECG App for Canadian Developers [u]

Watchos 6 beta 5

After releasing the fifth betas of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, tvOS 13 and Xcode 11 yesterday, Apple has finally released watchOS 6 beta 5 as well.

For developers in Canada, this means they can finally get their hands on the ECG (electrocardiogram) app for Apple Watch Series 4.

Apple previously launched the ECG app in Canada with iOS 12.4 and watchOS 5.3, but developers didn’t see an update. Yesterday’s iOS 13 beta 5 release saw the ECG app available in the Watch app, but watchOS 6 beta 5 wasn’t available for download.

To download and install watchOS 6 beta 5, ensure you have iOS 13 beta 5 installed, then launch the Watch app on your iPhone and go to General > Software Update.

Update: If you configured the ECG app yesterday with iOS 13 beta 5, you may not see the ECG app after installing watchOS 6 beta 5. To fix this, unpairing and re-pairing your Apple Watch looks to fix the issue and install the ECG app (thanks Mario).

Let us know how you’re liking the new ECG app for your Apple Watch Series 4 after installing this update.
