MobileNotifier Surpasses 230,000 Downloads [Cydia]

Share:

The popular and elegant Cydia tweak for Push Notifications, known as MobileNotifier has exceeded 230,000 downloads, as announced by developer Peter Hajas on his blog.

This is an indication that iOS users are in high demand of a new revamp for unobtrusive Push Notifications as the existing system has been well in place since iPhone OS debuted in 2007. It also is a display of a healthy jailbreak community that has supported a minor tweak to sustain almost a quarter million downloads.

We’ve seen iOS 5 concept videos as an early indication of what could loom ahead of WWDC, which kicks off the first week of June.

Are you using MobileNotifier?

I can’t wait to see Apple copy these types of features then claim it as their own. IOS 5 will be a complete copy of all the good things on Cydia and Android. Iphone 3GS left behind for the next IOS 5 and I wouldn’t be surprised to see the iPad 1 left behind also!!!!!

If that’s what you want to call it, but it is the way it has to happen. Apple needs to change up there iOS there are no if and’s or but’s about it. something needs to be done and it needs to be done immediately. iOS is extremely dated and getting pretty boring. I would rather them implement or as you say “copy” a totally revamped interface, notifications and feature rich iOS than the same old boring crap that’s been around since 2007. I love my iPhone 4, but I feel I would enjoy it much more with a better iOS. A much better voice control system with speech to text, better notification system, widgets would be nice and a much improved user interface would be greatly appreciated. I can’t wait to see what iOS 5 will bring to the table.

Also you just contradicted yourself, if the 3GS and iPad are left behind why should you care? Apple is only copying all of the good things from Cydia and Android right? Nothing a Jailbroken iPad or 3GS can’t handle.

Apple is Copying? Oh because this is the first time ever a notification system has been put into a mobile app right? Well then in that case thank you MobileNotifier you will soon surpass Apple with as the biggest company in the world. Come on get with it…notification systems are synonymous with say, cut and paste. That’s not copyright material.
