Costco Canada Launches iPhone App, Allows Direct Upload of Images to Photo Centre

Share:

Costco Canada quietly launched their own iPhone app back in late August and now it’s starting to make some waves, as it has been recently trending in App Store searches.

The app allows members to easily check weekly offers on iPhone (the flyers handed out at stores), choose their local warehouse to see hours, contact info (telephone numbers and email) and more.

The app does have a web wrapper for checking out Costco.ca and finding out common information, but the coolest feature is the ability to upload photos from your iPhone directly to the Photo Centre for printing.

The Costco Mobile App is the easiest way to save time and money on the go. We’ve completely re-thought our mobile app and made it easier for members to access the incredible values found only at Costco.

• OFFERS: With the Costco Mobile App you’ll always have the latest Warehouse Offers right on your device.

• SHOP: Members can shop Costco.ca’s unique, expanded selection, offering thousands of items not found at your local warehouse, delivered straight to your door.

• WAREHOUSE INFO: See details about your nearest Costco including hours of operation and holiday hours, and navigate straight to the warehouse.

• PHOTOS: Upload photos straight from your phone to the Costco Photo Centre – share, format and order prints for pickup.

The app previously was only available to US customers but this Canadian version of the app looks like a decent start for Costco addicts (like yours truly). It could be the start of some of the easiest ways to order photos for printing directly from your iPhone.

As seen in the images above, you can quickly and easily choose which photo sizes you want to order, and with prices starting at $0.10 for a 4×6, there’s no reason not to print images.

Smart idea! Costco is great, too bad it is so out of the way from where I live. 🙁

Wish you could add your Costco membership card to Passbook.

  • That would be very cool. You could try Stocard

Costco does not currently accept e-cards as a form of proof of membership. You have to have the physical card on hand because you can too easily manipulate the info via a program such as Photoshop. Unlike other loyalty cards Costco membership cards have your picture on them.
