Reddit Launches Official ‘Ask Me Anything’ iOS App, Download Now

Reddit has announced they have launched an official Ask Me Anything (AMA) iOS app, built by themselves. The company says this is the easiest way to view AMAs.

Users will be able to ask questions, get notified when popular AMAs are trending and also vote questions and answers up or down, while viewing a format made for mobile users.

For iOS users, the company says NSFW is hidden by default to meet Apple guidelines:

In the iOS version, you’ll see that due to Apple guidelines, we hide NSFW content by default in the iPhone app, but don’t worry! If you log in and check “allow adult content” you can see all AMAs uncensored, including NSFW ones. We know we still have a lot of work to do, so please share your feedback, and we’ll keep trying.

Reddit has 133 million unique monthly visitors as of August, according to the company, and the company says this new app will make it easier for new users to enjoy the site, according to Ellen Pao, senior VP at Reddit who oversees the company’s mobile efforts, tells Variety: “We want to make it easier for new users to join Reddit and experience all the awesome content,” following with “That’s part of the overall goal of becoming a more mature company.”
