SeatGeek – Find Deals On Tickets [Review]

Share:

Ever buy tickets to a concert or game only to find out that one of your friends found a better deal? Well SeatGeek hopes to remove this problem by collecting the ticket listings from over 120 resellers, then showing you which tickets are the best value.

You can use SeatGeek to explore and see all the events happening near you. Or you can search by performer, event, or venue. Once you find and select an event the tickets can be sorted by their price or Deal Score, (only if the venue’s layout is available) which is a number dependent on a ticket’s price and location that (allegedly) shows you which tickets are “the most bang for your dollar.” After selecting a ticket you are shown a breakdown of the price, the exact seat location (sometimes even the view from your seat is shown), the number of tickets available, and notes from the seller. Once you press Buy Now you’ll be redirected to the ticket reseller’s checkout.

I really liked SeatGeek. I had no issues finding tickets to any performance or game that I knew were coming. I didn’t even have to go through the painful ordeal of entering in my credit card information on my iPhone, because I discovered that I could email myself a link to the ticket reseller’s checkout, then buy the tickets on my iMac.

Is this supposed to be like stubhub?

  • Mark

No. But it will refer you to whomever is selling tickets (stubhub, ebay, seatwave, ticketmaster, etc.) It will also tell you if it is the right time to buy. And if it is a good deal (indicated by green, yellow, red)

so its basically the middle man? haha

  • Mark

Yup, but it’s awesome if you missed out on Ticketmaster tickets!
