At Apple’s WWDC 2012 keynote, all new MacBook Airs and MacBook Pros were released. After customers got these new notebooks in their hands, it became apparent that the battery was not lasting as long as it should, with a brand new Mac. Apple acknowledged the issue, and promised a fix was coming.
Today, Apple has released an update for these newer notebooks, to resolve the CPU power consumption issue, as well as a compatibility issue with some USB devices.
If you have one of these new MacBook Airs or MacBook Pros, click HERE to download the update now. One warning though: this update is not supported by OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion, so if you happen to be running a developers preview of the latest, not yet released operating system, you’ll have to wait until the official release, and an update to this update.
