Bell Expands HSPA+ Network Into Saskatchewan & Northern Quebec

Last week, SaskTel launched their new 3G+ network for Saskatchewan residents. This opened up Saskatchewan to devices such as the iPhone.

Soon after, Telus followed and expanded their own HSPA+ coverage into select areas of Saskatchewan. Now through a partnership with SaskTel, Bell has also expanded their HSPA+ coverage into Saskatchewan.

Bell customers will have access to HSPA+ phones, smartphones and Internet sticks. At this time, the following areas have coverage, with full province coverage coming in late 2011:

  • Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Weyburn, Yorkton, Swift Current, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Buffalo Pound, White City, Melville, Dalmeny, Martensville, Warman, Hepburn, Waldheim and most of the connecting highways.

Also, Bell has extended their HSPA+ coverage into Northern Quebec (Télébec region) which includes the following areas:

  • Ville Marie, Val d’Or, Temiscaming, Amos, Rouyn-Noranda, La Sarre.

Any folks planning on getting service from Bell with the changes?
