Edit this to say can be added to any monthly plan. The 3 year is just for data and cancellation is $100. Doesn’t require you to take a 3 year monthly contract.

What’s the alternative? All three big carriers rip you off. And the new carriers are a joke after them I be glad to pay rogers then pay for a service I can’t even use. That’s robbery.

Buy a phone unlocked/ outright and go month to month with whomever you feel like going with.

This just proves they charge whatever the heck they want to costumers, unbelievable! Next year their profits will be even higher I am sure. I am so mad at this people right now… I wish I could just get out of their stupid contract and sign up with a company that really care for their costumers.

Also this plan replaces any existing data plan that you might have in your plan.

Eg: A $55/mo voice + 1gb data combo plan.

If you add on the 6gb plan you only get 6gb and not a 7gb total…

Just adding on to this… Read on another site that only the existing $55/mo voice and data combo plan qualifies. So if you have had yours for quite awhile it might not qualify for the $10/mo for 5gb extra. Call and speak to retentions if the rep has no clue on this

Strange, I’m on a Voice Plan with 1GB Blackberry Plan, but planning to switch to the iPhone 5.  I called to get the one GB added on and hit two roadblocks: (1) he said that b/c my data is included in my voice plan I’d have to break my plan up which would add 10$/month and cost me some of the credits I got when I negotiated my last contract; and (2) That b/c my current plan is a blackberry plan, and b/c this 6GB for $30 promotion will expire September 30 (i.e. BEFORE the iPhone 5 is available), once I shift my current plan to an iPhone plan the deal won’t be transferred.

Any thoughts/experiences with this? I remember hearing last year that people with 1GB on their plan called in and got 6GB…am I wrong?

I just called an they said it did not exist and that I could only get it of I paid $45/ month…..Why is there such conflicting information?????

For Fido, if you’ve been a long time, loyal customer, they will offer 6GB. Just have to be nice, patient, and you will be able to speak to retentions. I have 2 6gb plans. One for me and one for my wife.

Ok, if I understand it correctly,  as I am on my $50 voice + data combo plan, I can have this promo plan by adding $5 more? I assume $25 for 500mb regularly and $30 for 1GB.

I know this plan has tethering included. What about data Sharing?

Business customers had the 6 GB plan for a while now.

I called Rogers rep at 20:30 EST, they said it’s not availble yet for existing user, asked me to call back in 1 or 2 wks.

I came across the howardforum. some dudes in BC got this plan already. When I called rogers two times. one told me I couldn’t have this plan with my current plan. And the other one told me he couldnt find this plan in their system….

Just got this done.  Upgraded from $30 1GB data plan to $30 6GB plan with a $5 data plan discount to boot.

So, all in all $25 for the 6GB data plan.

No it’s $30 more for 6gb data. It replaces your data in that plan.

Consider speaking to retentions to work out a better plan that includes the 6gb data.

Just be patient and it will take a few attempts to get what you want.
