Rogers Launches New $30 Unlimited Incoming “Competitive Response” Plan

It seems that unlimited calling plans are extremely popular in recent months with the Canadian wireless carriers. Today, in response to recent competitive activity, Rogers has launched a new $30 Unlimited Incoming “Competitive Response” plan.

The plan is effective March 21, 2011 and the features are listed below:

  • Minutes: 150 daytime
  • Evenings/Weekends: Unlimited @ 6PM
  • Promotions: Unlimited Local Incoming Calls, Unlimited Messaging

Notes:

  • Offer available to new and existing customers
  • Offer available for consumer regular and business regular accounts
  • Offer available in all regions
  • Customer must activate on a 3-year term only
  • Offer eligible on all device types

With this plan and a minimum $25 3-year data plan, customers can pick up an iPhone 4 16 GB/32 GB at promtoioal pricing of $159/$269.

At this time, Rogers has not defined an expiration date.

Reports on iPhone news, reviews apps and accessories. Also an armed ninja with an iPhone 4S.

    Wow kind of falls short compared to Winds $45 plan. Which is for everything unlimited including data.

    Not really that great of a plan if you can get the EPP plan. Unless you really need unlimited incoming.

    Gary, thanks for the heads-up. I called Rogers, and the tier-one person hadn’t heard of the plan and put me through to Customer Relations. That agent WAS aware of the plan, but recommended that I stick with my current plan which had more daytime minutes and MY5, as well as unlimited early evening calling. But then as a freebie because I’ve been such a long-time customer, she added the unlimited incoming local calls for the life of my current contract.

    Needless to say, I am a *very* happy camper today.

    And I would recommend that others, if you’ve been with Rogers for a while and could qualify as a long-time customer, might want to *ask* for that freebie that this agent offered me.
