Rogers Offers Free 6PM Evenings On Select Plans

Share:

Effective December 11, 2009, new Rogers customers that sign up on any eligible in-market (currently available) plan will receive 6PM evenings for free ($7 value). The promotion expires January 1, 2010.

The bonus is available on the following 3-year term plans:

  • Mega Value Plans
  • Mega Value Combo
  • Smartphone & Rocket Stick plan
  • iPhone plans
  • Couples & Family Share Plans
  • All Business plans
  • EPP plans

All new activations will have the 6PM Early Evening Calling bonus automatically added upon activation.

Existing Rogers Customers

The promotion is also available to existing customers on a reactive basis.

What this means is that existing customers must move to an in-market plan (dumping your current plan if it was not released this year) and renew their plan term for 3 years (does not affect hardware upgrade date). After the plan changes, the 6PM Early Evening Calling code and the discount code will be applied manually for existing customers.

If you are looking to get 6PM evenings for free, now would be a good time.

  • I just got off the phone with a rogers rep and they couldn't find anything in their system available as you described. Is it market specific? Do you have any more information on it?

I would not do this because I want to be done with my Robbers contract so that I have the option of moving to Globealive and having a fun discussion with Retentions….

sometimes you have to assert that it's there…. they'll put you on hold and miraculously they'll come back saying they have it. it's one of life's many miracles… or so they lead you on to believe.

Another nice offer for the Christmas holidays 😛

  • Give it a day.
Tell them to check their bulletins.

    What about us fido customers?

Well to be honest it costs them nothing to have people put at 6pm evennings and weekends.. people don't use that many minutes in 3 hours a day. Its all just a ploy to get you to extend your contract so that your stuck with Rogers and they can make more money off you.. its the same reason theres alot of companies giving away phones for free..they are after your 3yr contract where they make all the money back
