The app is offered through a partnership with The Baby Box Company, known worldwide for offering free education and resources for new parents. The Baby Box is inspired by a Finnish tradition which equips new parents with education resources and products for their baby, while the box itself allows a baby to sleep in for its first 5-6 months of life. Telus will offer Canadians a free Baby Box, which comes with a Health Canada-certified mattress.

Juggy Sihota, vice president, Consumer Health, TELUS, said in a statement to iPhone in Canada, “Our new Baby Health app helps new parents build a digital health record for life for their baby. They will have everything they need regarding the health of their child in the palm of their hands, anytime and anywhere they need it. This will help ensure better healthcare experiences through all stages of life.”

Baby Boxes will be offered nationwide in English and French, while the TELUS Baby Health app will soon include a French version in the “coming months”.
