Telus Extends Free iPhone 3GS Until April 10

Last week Telus discounted the 8GB iPhone 3GS to $0.00 on a 3-year voice and data agreement. It was a late March promotion that expired on March 31, 2011. As you can probably guess, the promo has been extended until April 10, 2011.

Purchased at a Telus Store

As we come up on the the two year birthday for the iPhone 3GS, retailers are trying to remove iPhone 3GS inventory as fast as possible.

If you are looking for a good free phone and do not care much for the updates on the iPhone 4, then check out the iPhone 3GS from Telus:

  • iPhone 3GS 8GB Black (on contract): $0.00 (was $49.00)
  • iPhone 3GS 8GB Black (without contract): $549.00 (locked to Telus)

All new iPhone 3GS units already have iOS 4.0 or later preloaded out of the box.

Purchased at an Apple Store

Customers who purchase the 8GB iPhone 3GS outright (no contract) at $549 from an Apple Store will have the device unlocked.

Customers who purchase the 8GB iPhone 3GS on contract for $0.00 from an Apple Store will have the device locked to Telus (just as if you bought the device at Telus for $0).

Customers purchasing at an Apple Store will receive a Telus SIM card in-store when purchasing on contract, or will get to choose any carrier SIM card (for free) if purchased outright.
