iTunes 10.2 Released, Safe for Jailbroken Devices
Apple has released iTunes 10.2 for the masses, in particular to add support for upcoming iOS 4.3 and iPad 2.

This new version is safe for people with jailbroken iPhones as my iPhone 4 and iPad works fine with it (both on untethered iOS 4.2.1).

Thanks for the info. That’s good to know as my kids all have jailbroken iPhones and don’t think twice about updating iTunes.
That doesn’t mean that it might screw up future JB say with 4.3. Until the Dev team says its safe I would hold off.
No need to hold off. If it works with 4.2, it will work with the up coming 4.3 JB. DT is not going to release a JB that doesn’t work with the current iTunes revision.
As I haven’t seen any comments on the Dev-Teams website, and there was at least one JailBreak that required an “old” version of iTunes, I would be holding off till you hear some official word from your jailbreaker of choice, on which iTunes version works with what jailbreak.
