iPods in Yet Unreleased Colours Spotted in iTunes 12.2

As soon as iTunes 12.2 was pushed out yesterday, users started digging into what’s new in the latest version. Besides Apple Music support, a MacRumors reader spotted images showing iPods in yet unreleased colours. The image showing an iPod touch, iPod nano, and iPod shuffle appears when the user sets up or restores an iPod using iTunes.

But there is more: the iPods apparently show a date of Tuesday, July 14, which started a wave of speculation that Apple could refresh this line of products on that day. Also, iPod users have noticed that the wrist-wrap attachment post seen in the lower left corner of the currently available models doesn’t appear in the new image.

So what can we expect on that possible release date? Well, if we are to believe the image that popped up in iTunes, Apple may refresh its iPod offerings with a darker-blue iPod touch, an iPod nano in gold (or beige), and a lighter-pink iPod shuffle. Will Apple refresh the iPod line with these colours? We’ll find out in two weeks.
