Telus VoLTE Calling is Now Available in Quebec

Share:

Earlier this year, Telus launched VoLTE (voice over LTE) support in Montreal. But now it appears that the feature has gone beyond just the city, as the company announced that VoLTE is now available in the entire province of Quebec.

Apple iPhone users in Quebec now have a setting to enable VoLTE, which allows for calls over LTE, thusly improved wide-band audio call quality, and the ability to use simultaneous voice and data over the faster network.

You can check VoLTE availability on your iPhone 6 or newer by going to:

Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > Enable LTE > Voice & Data

In order for VoLTE to work, both the device and the carrier must support it. Telus currently supports VoLTE in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and parts of Northern Canada for a select group of iPhone and Android devices.

Let us know if you’re a Quebec resident on Telus and you’re seeing the option to enable Voice & Data under Enable LTE on your iPhone.

Don’t see the option on my iPhone 6S. I think there was just a carrier update a couple of days ago. BTW I am in Montreal with Telus

Finally! I had never seen it before even when it was launched in Montreal but now I see it, even on my iPhone 6.
