Apple Reveals App Store Search Results to Include More Ads in 2026
In 2026, Apple is refreshing how ads appear on the App Store with new top banner ads and more running on search results.
Free iPhone Games: Aqua Forest, Catch the Egg, NeoSameGame
Lately we’ve seen a lot of apps lately being given away for free. This benefits all of us as we get to preview and experience new applications. Part of the reason developers do this is to have a sudden torrent of people download their apps to get it into the Top 25. Once they get some good ranking that’s when they start charging for it again.
Today we’re going to check out three free games courtesy of Hudson, a video game developer that created classics such as Bomberman and Bonk. They are giving away Aqua Forest, Catch the Egg, and NeoSameGame all for FREE! These will be available till October 12th (Sunday) as part of their 2008 Tokyo Game Show.
I’ve got my copies of all three and the quality of these games are excellent. The graphics are pretty decent and it’s nice to have some free games made by an actual video game company. Check out the previews below:

Aqua – Pretty fun game. I’ve seen a similar version on old school computers with sand that keeps on falling. The puzzles are fun to do.
Catch the egg – hard to play in bed, but looks like a good game to play in an open area.
NeoSameGame – crashed on me for some reason during play, but I think it’s worse than tris or aurora feint (aurora is an awesome free app! Check it out. It’s bejeweled with the accelerometer!)

Aqua forest lags too much to be really fun. Neo same games is alright. Catch the egg is really repetitive.
Neosamegame crashed and froze my 3G on first attempt to play, with continuously skipping soundtrack to boot. Deleted it immediately.
Can’t beat free, even if they end up being lame games! 🙂
