iPhone App Store Will Launch on Monday: RemindYou Preview
You heard that right folks! If you aren’t aware of next Monday’s significance, June 9th is the day of Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference. Steve Jobs will be making some BIG announcements, with one of them most likely being the new second generation 3G iPhone!
First iPhone App Sneak Peak: RemindYou
As well, the long awaited iPhone App store will be launched on Monday as well. I’ve received an email from a company rep that will be launching RemindYou “nationally” on Monday (I think we can all read between the lines here). RemindYou is a simple app that will help you get organized with your iPhone.
The lock screen of your iPhone will have show your appointments through the syncing with iCal, Outlook, or Entourage. The display with auto update every 15 minutes according to the events you have listed in iCal. It will help you stay organized and never miss another appointment again!
RemindYou is available on Installer right now (Big Boss’ Community Sources should be in your Sources list). I just tested the program and it simple and functions great. There are lots of options to customize the app, such as changing font sizes and colors. Right now there is a full 14 day free trial of the program, however for $19.95 you can purchase a life-time license.
If this is just a sneak peak at what’s to come on Monday from the iPhone App Store, I’m getting all giddy inside. Get ready to see some amazing applications from 3rd party developers very soon! For those who have been waiting to buy an iPhone, I think your decision by now has already been made!
On a side note, an informant from Rogers Wireless contacted me with news regarding vacation blackout dates for managers. From June 23-July 16, all managers at Rogers Wireless locations will be unable to book holidays. Last year the same deal was in effect at AT&T stores in the USA–and we all know what happened after that. 😉
So, there you have it folks…we have some exciting news to look forward to on Monday! Let the official countdown begin!
