Drink with “iStyle” : iPhone App Coasters bring your apps to the table
There are now over 100,000 applications available in the iTunes AppStore, there really is an App for anything that uses the iPhone’s features. Well, almost everything. Do you always feel the need to have your apps with you everywhere you go? Have money burning a hole in your pocket? Craving that iPhone fix? Well now you can bring your apps to the table with you to enjoy your beverages without the sticky ring of liquid. There’s an app for that… err Coaster that is.
A new website is offering sets of coasters featuring the iPhone’s default application icons. According to the website, the coasters are genuine app icon enlargements from the iPhone 1.1.4 firmware, using the original artwork. Not only do they look authentic, they also have a non-slip cork backing and come heat resistant. If you have friends or family that love their iPhone, this could make a fantastic holiday gift. Although rather useless, the idea and concept is fresh and it’s always interesting to see what someone will come up with next.
iPhoneAppsCoasters.com is offering three sets including:
- “Core Apps” featuring SMS, Calendar, Phone, Mail, Safari and iPod
- “Home Apps” featuring Notepad, Settings, Camera, Calculator, Clock and Address Book
- “Media Apps” featuring Maps, YouTube, Stocks, Video, Weather and Photos

Great stocking stuffer for any iPhone fanatic. (nudge nudge, wink wink, to my wife…)
They work out to around $41 CAD shipped to Canada. I’m on the fence right now. They do look awesome, and I’ve been wanting some coasters…
Damn. Guess I should have jumped on this yesterday.
