Rogers/Fido Release Unimpressive New Plans

Today, Rogers and Fido released new plans and as compared to the last quarter plans, and even beyond that, the new Rogers plans especially are by far the worst they have ever done.

2.) $30 consumer plan lost My5 Local (talk, text unlimited) and was replaced with My5 Local Talk Only (really bad).

3.) $40 and $45 consumer plan lost its 50 bonus minutes.

(Wow. Twitter has almost completely destroyed the usefulness of this site's comments section.)

It truly is amazing that the cellular world is getting worse (read: more expensive) than most other technologies, which tend to get cheaper. Especially the messaging issue, which of course is a joke as it costs them next to nothing to provide.

I just can't understand Rogers. You would think they would care about their public image. You would think that pressure from WIND and other new carriers would create lower prices. You would think that as technology advances, prices would lessen. That all seems to be 100% backwards now. There is no way in hell I would never ever buy any stock in this company. If they don't get their act together, they'll be out the door.

I just don't get it…
