EcoAppsFree To Deliver Free Eco-Based Apps

A new website with a positive initiative is looking to deliver paid Eco-based apps for free for 24-hours.

The idea to provide Eco-based apps for free, that normally have a cost, for a limited spawned from users wanting a more efficient method of searching through thousands of applications to simply find an Eco-app.

Furthermore, by providing the Eco-apps for free for 24-hours, users can download the apps without paying and then provide recommendations if the app is a worthy purchase.

The website and initiative are still new, so they are looking for support. Head over the website and if you’re interested, input your email to receive notices of when the first Eco-app is available for download. The soft launch is scheduled for September 2010.

Is it organically made? I can’t see this being true to the mission. I mean, the power required to drive the servers that run the website, and serve the files seems counter-productive. Even me typing this message defeats the purpose. Argh!

I read the post and visited the website, but I still have no idea what the hell this story/product is about.

Eco apps provide meaningful information that can make a positive social and environmental impact. So you can â€˜lookâ€™ productive while actually being eco-productive. So, the EcoAppsFree.com has two functions one find those out of 200K Apps and counting at App Store and make them available for free so users can download (no-cost) and pro-active use it for greening the world around them. Hopefully, that explains a bit what we are trying to do.
