Today Apple seeded the third beta release of iOS 4.2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. As many know, iOS 4.2 is the next release of the iOS firmware due in November 2010.
Beta 3 of iOS 4.2 comes two weeks since the last release, Beta 2.
So far, there have been some minor changes in iOS 4.2. Those changes are listed below:
- Improved performance
- Numerous bug fixes
- Bookmarks Bar in Safari for iPad
- New SMS tones
- Minor graphical enhancements
- An Enable/Disable toggle for alert sounds for New Mail, Sent Mail, Calendar Alerts, Lock Sounds, Keyboard Clicks
iTunes 10.1 Beta 2 was also released alongside iOS 4.2 Beta 3. Like with the previous iTunes 10.1 Beta 1, the changes have not yet been documented.
