DataMan iPhone Data Tracker App Giveaway!

We recently reviewed DataMan, one of the latest apps to track your data usage, for those that don’t want to incur expensive overages from their mobile carriers.

Monitor your cellular and Wi-Fi data usage in real time

* Stop additional charges on your bill
* Geotag your data activities
* Be alerted of your consumption with customizable usage thresholds
* DataMan monitors your data usage in the background, keeping a log of your activities. What’s more, it geotags your data activities. So you can browse your daily data activities on a map. You can even zoom in on the map to see the time and usage amount for certain places.

To help manage your data consumption, you’ll receive alerts when you exceed your usage thresholds. There are 4 levels of alert thresholds that you can customize to your needs to prevent additional charges to your bill.

If you’re on a 500MB data plan from Rogers, or tether a lot and want to track your 6GB data plan, DataMan can definitely help you track your data. Today we have a contest to giveaway SIX promo codes!

Geotagging the data would really help me because I’m going on a trip to Europe soon and roaming charges are a killer!

Thanks for the opportunity!

Don’t forget to download “Rogers My Account” app from the app store since it is the most accurate data & other usage tracker. Also free & works over 3G and doesn’t use data. You can modify My5, ringbacks & other essentials through it as well.

Definately would be useful to track my data, especially if I’m going to start using video calling more often.

What a great way to keep my data charges under better control. Now how about Canadian carriers adopting more competitive rates.

I’m going to NYC on friday – DataMan would help me know how much of the 75MB Roaming Data I’ve used on my Rogers account.

This app sounds sweet. I tether all the time and find it hard to easily and accurately track my data usage. I would use this all the time.

It would help me because I am on a 500 mb data plan and now I can only use my phone with wifi because I cannot afford the last months bill because of data usage 🙁

DataMan would help me by allowing me to monitor my data useage more closely. As I am on the road a lot, the GeoTagging would allow me to see when, where and how much data I’m using. Being able to set up data allowances and alerts would help me curb my usage so I can stay within my plan. I believe that DataMan could truly help keep me from having to cancel the data plan on my phone.

First, check that your device supports multitasking. Supported models include iPhone 4 and 3GS. Second, check if Location Services is turned on for DataMan. Open Settings > General > Location Services > Data Usage > On. Third, if you still have a problem, reboot your device. Finally, you can email us and we will be glad to help you 🙂

Thanks for the help. I selected location to be off at the start. I didn’t think it wouldn’t work at all if you had it off. Why does it need locations on to work? Then I couldn’t find where to turn it on after. So thanks for pointing me in the right direction. The app should have the location on/off in the settings part of the App.

I’m glad your issue is resolved. The good news is that version 2.0 is coming. In this new & better version, we have made background geotag optional. This will satisfy some users who want to save every tiny bit of battery power. Plus new exciting features for everyone including daily chart and non-multitasking support. Thanks for your support. Please help to give a good review in AppStore.

DataMan is a real time data usage manager. It tracks your daily, weekly, monthly activities. This is more advanced than the Settings > General > Usage. In addition, it has custom usage alerts, data allowance, billing start date and geotags.
