Earlier today we reported that the mythical White iPhone 4 can be found in the Apple Store iPhone app. Well, a Reuters report now states that Apple has delayed the White iPhone 4 until next Spring. Err…next Spring? That is cutting it close for the launch of the “iPhone 5” isn’t it?
A company spokesperson contacted John Paczkowski from ATD with the following:
“We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone yet again, but we’ve decided to delay its release until this Spring.â€
A Reuters report also has word from an official Apple spokesperson:
“We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again,” Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said. When asked why the white phone would again be delayed, Muller declined to comment.
So the White iPhone 4 has been officially delayed. If you have been holding out for one, you might as well keep waiting or just crumble and get a black one while you still can.

Absolutely…. I just waited 4 months for NOTHING. I could have been using the iPhone 4 for all this time, had I know Apple was going to keep delaying the white version. SUPER frustrating! 🙁
Next year: “Spirit Bear” will be released to coincide with Lion’s launch date…just going to have start testing on friends phones

Why is there such a huge delay for the white iPhone, same materials I would presume just a different color… ugh… maybe i’ll go with android.
Well at least you can take apart a Black iPhone 4 and put the White housing on it.
the White iphone will Probably be the Next Gen iPhone. (iPhone 4 S) who knows lol
they will probably add a little extra feature plus the unadvertised antenna fix.
hopefully there is a white android or you might get disappointed with them also and start looking for a white blackBerry
How is it Chinese KIRF aftermarket case makers can make a white iPhone faceplate and button but apple cant
Maybe because they (Apple) couldn’t find a way to hide the sensor bar above the speaker which is not visible on the black phone due to black being less noticable. I mean same phone same material just different color. How hard is it to make it in white really? Therefore, IMO, if it’s not perfect or doesn’t look right, Apple can’t release it. It’s all about looks after all right, form over function, just like the decision to use the stainless steel band.

I know! The aftermarket white parts were on sale before the iPhone 4 was lol. Apple has no intention of releasing a white iPhone 4.
