Apple’s 2026 Holiday Return Policy Is Live in Canada, Amazon’s is Better

Apple’s holiday return policy for 2026 is now live for the Apple Store Online in Canada, giving early shoppers more time to send gifts back after Christmas.
Eligible products received between November 6 and December 25, 2026 may be returned until January 8, 2027. All other terms from Apple’s Sales and Refunds Policy still apply. Anything received after December 25 goes back to Apple’s standard window: 15 calendar days from delivery for eligible iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch and third-party products.
For an order that arrives this week, that is roughly two months of return time instead of the usual two weeks. Apple ties the holiday window to the date you receive the item, not the day you place the order, so a late delivery after December 25 would only get the standard 15 days.
As in past years, the extra time is meant for early Christmas shopping. Gifts opened on December 25 can still go back in early January. Items such as Apple Gift Cards, opened software and electronic software downloads remain ineligible. But it could also result in a super extended hands-on test of something you’ve been eyeing.
Buying on Amazon.ca? Apple products purchased there between November 1 and December 31, 2026, can be returned through January 15, 2027, one extra week past Apple’s own January 8 deadline, which is even better. Most other Amazon.ca holiday purchases stretch further, through January 31, 2027.
