Earlier today, Apple updated its investor relations web page to announce that the company will publish its earnings for its first fiscal quarter of 2011. The announcement will follow a standard earnings conference call scheduled for Tuesday January 18, 2011.
Apple plans to conduct a conference call to discuss financial results of its first fiscal quarter on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. PT. A link to the conference call webcast will be provided at a later date.
We expect to see massive numbers from Apple, especially from the iPhone area. On the last earnings call in October 2010, Apple CEO Steve Jobs blasted RIM and Google and the general competition in the tablet computing space.
Of particular note was that Apple had passed RIM in smartphone sales and does not see RIM catching up and that Apple sold 14.1 million iPhones, which is an increase of 91% over the same quarter in 2009.
