Telus Officially Launches Their “4G” Network in Manitoba
In the beginning of February, Telus was preparing for a soft launch of HSPA+ (or what Telus calls 4G) in Manitoba. The soft launch was scheduled for today, and today Telus has launched the network.
This new network means that for residents in the Winnipeg area, you will be able to use the many Telus HSPA+ devices, including the iPhone 4. For network coverage, Telus had this to say,
“Manitoba’s 4G coverage is now operational in the extended Winnipeg area, and throughout 2011 and 2012 we’ll be adding new cities to our network. Enjoy unlimited provincial calling on our expanding network, offering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 42.2 Mbpsâ€
What do you think Manitobans?
