[Updated] Rogers Expands Network To Cover 97% Of Manitobans

Update: This includes Fido!

Today, Rogers announced that their HSPA+ coverage has been expanded to cover 97% of the Manitoba population. Download speeds in the province now can reach up to 21 Mbps (with supported devices) and this news also delivers the iPhone and iPad 3G service!

In more places across Manitoba than ever before, Rogers reliable high speed network is now available for the first time in northern Manitoba including Thompson, The Pas, Flin Flon, and more. The Rogers network in southern Manitoba has also been expanded and upgraded to high speed, offering faster download speeds and increased signal strength resulting in improved voice quality.

If you are currently a Rogers customer, you can upgrade to the latest Rogers devices (like an iPhone 4!) and experience greater geographic reach of the expanded wireless network.

It took long enough, before you couldn’t be 15 minutes out of the City of Winnipeg before going back to Edge. Now you can, finally.
