Rumour: iPhone 5 Release Date November 21 in the UK?
iPhone 5 launch date rumours have started to pour in. This time around it’s an apparent ‘leak’ by a retailer in the UK, iPhones4U (coincidentally, there’s no relation to iOSDevices4U!) in a blurb to tech blog T3.
The rumour is iPhone 5 will launch on November 21 in the UK and worldwide. This date is a Monday, which is unlikely for an Apple launch. Here are the launch dates we’ve seen so far:
iPhone: Friday, June 29, 2007 (US only)
iPhone 3G: Friday, July 11, 2008 (Canada too)
iPhone 3GS: Friday, June 19, 2009 (Canada too)
iPhone 4: Thursday, June 24, 2010 (Canada: July 30th)
iPhone ‘5/4S’: UNKNOWN (look to crop circles for clues)
A Monday launch seems unlikely. Apple likes to pick busy end of week days to launch leading into the weekend, to get as much press as possible. The iPad 2 launch is a clear example of that.
Existing ‘iPhone 5’ and ‘iPhone 4S’ rumours point to a Fall launch. Hopefully the upcoming WWDC preview of iOS 5 will provide us with more clues.

Expect more similar ‘date leaks’ coming your way. It’s inevitable.
