Rogers To Reduce US Pay-Per-Use Data Rates On July 12
In some odd, but good, news Rogers is set to reduce the pay-per-use US data roaming rates effective July 12 2011. Pay-per-use rates only apply to those who are with Rogers and do not subscribe to a data plan. For those with a data plan, this does not apply to you.
As of July 12 2011, the rate will drop from $0.03/KB to $0.01/KB. To make this number more tangible, this means that the rate has dropped from $30/MB to $10/MB. It is still an insane amount to pay, but better to pay less than more.

I have the $10/mo “US Data Roaming” add-on which currently takes the $30/MB down to $1/MB. Will that $1/MB rate go down as well?
Probably will not reduce as that is an add-on.

Be thankful that it was reduced from a high $30 per MB to a very low $10…
