McDonald’s Interactive Billboard Lets Users Play Ping Pong With iPhone

While not directly Canadian, McDonald’s in Sweden ran a great interactive billboard that enabled users to wireless play a game of Ping Pong using their smartphone.

By completing the game within 30 seconds, players won coupons for free food in their nearest Mcdonald’s restaurant.

The really unique part of this interactive billboard is that users are not required to download an app. Instead, the billboard picks up your location (when you’re nearby) and you use your smartphone mobile browser to play!

This would be so neat to see on Canadian shores! Imagine playing ping pong, wirelessly from your iPhone, in downtown Vancouver or Toronto.

Hockey version has two paddle lines representing forward and goalie but let’s just say it’s hockey during the Stanley Cup finals. 😉
