Telus $55 Voice & Data To Combat SaskTel Offers

For Saskatchewan residents looking for service with an iPhone, Telus has a competing promotional offer to combat some of the SaskTel offers:

Voice & Data $55

  • Minutes: 200 daytime
  • Evenings/Weekends: Unlimited @ 6PM
  • Data: 5GB
  • Promotions: Unlimited Text/Picture/Video messages, My10 Nationwide, Free Voicemail 3

This plan is basically the same Telus plan offered to the rest of Canada, but the data is 5GB instead of starting at 1GB.

What do you think Saskatchewan?

I hate it when the telcos start competing individually by province. Reminds me of how Bell TV decided to offer better packages in Quebec just because Vidéotron was doing so.

$5 cheaper yes, but you arguably get less for it.  SaskTel’s $60 plan includes 400 daytime minutes, unlimited (read: 10Gb) data, and unlimited SMS and local SaskTel to SaskTel mobility customers (which is probably 85% or higher of customers in the province)

Can’t agree more about the tv comment. It’s crap like this that make ppl go 100% download,OTA, grey market, or Netflix. Heck, even give up on tv all together.
