Apple Confirms iOS Update Coming to Patch PDF Exploit

With JailbreakMe.com utilizing the PDF exploit to allow over 1 million users jailbreak their iOS devices, Apple has officially spoke on the record an update is coming to fix this security hole. It was already hinted this would be coming, the moment JailbreakMe.com 3.0 was leaked.

Here’s what Apple told the Associated Press:

Apple Inc. spokeswoman Bethan Lloyd said Thursday the company is “aware of this reported issue and developing a fix that will be available to customers in an upcoming software update.”

Security researchers in Germany have been up in arms over the this PDF exploit, as it allows devices to be taken over. The exploit is also evident in iOS 5. A patch is available for free in Cydia, as released by Comex.

Stay tuned, as iOS 4.3.4 is coming our way.

Exactly. Stay away from the next update if you want to remain jailbroken.
