Twitter today has announced support to enable customers to send images via text message. The only carrier in Canada to support this at this time is Rogers.
SMS Commands: There are a few useful one-word commands that you can send to Twitter to get information.
- “Suggest”: lets you get suggestions for accounts to follow
- “Stats”: sends you your basic profile info, including your bio info, number of followers and the number of accounts you follow
- “Help” or “Tips”: to get handy Twitter SMS tips
If you’re not using a device that supports a twitter client, you can still use your non-smartphone with twitter:
If you add your phone to Twitter, you can update anywhere, anytime by simply sending us a text message! Once your phone is verified, you can start sending (and in many countries start receiving) updates instantly! Depending on where you are, you may have a local number.
