Netflix Canada to Add New ‘Hero-Themed’ Films in April and May

Netflix just announced their Canadian library will soon get some new ‘hero-themed’ films in April and May. Such films include X-Men: First Class and Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon (you’ll notice Thor is already available):

When Bonnie Tyler sang about holding out for a hero, she could have been referring to any one of the stars featured in our upcoming movies in April and May.  Over the coming weeks, the mutants of “X-Men: First Class,” the robots of “Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon,” the Norse-folk of “Thor,” and the shield-holder of “Captain America” will all be making their Netflix debuts in Canada.  The fighting bear of “Kung Fu Panda II”, the jouster of “A Knight’s Tale”,  the pilot of “Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow” and the spies of “Charlie’s Angels” will also be joining us this Spring.  So enjoy the kicks, explosions, and broken lances … and know that you won’t have to hold out for a hero for much longer.

Other recent additions include the CBC’s Dragon’s Den, various TED Talks, and Freakonomics. Netflix Canada currently costs $7.99/month, and can be viewed via the iOS app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Also, 1080p library support was also added to the new third generation Apple TV.

I love Netflix!
But I have not been able to enjoy it on my Apple TV 3 because it always chooses the French language audio tracks and there is NO WAY to select English audio! Eg: Thor

And by the looks of things on the Apple discussion forums is that I am not alone…. Back to HDMI cables from Laptop I guess *sigh*

Anyways I love hero themed movies! I see Batman isn’t listed but hopefully we see Begins or Dark Knight come up soon.

Honestly! Who the heck actually has an account with Netflix Canada! To this day, they have the worst movie selection even though they keep reassuring people that their movie library is constantly expanding.

I have a Netflix account the library is pretty amazing than it was at launch.  I just don’t blow through the content in one weekend and then complain there isn’t any content.

It’s only 8 dollars a month.  Compare that with what you pay for cable/satellite and the crap on it.

I have one netflix canada account and I absolutely love. I don’t even pay for cable anymore, so keep your complaints for yourself and stop crying at least they made it possible to access it in Canada !!!

I do and their selection has improved over the past year.  My kids and my parents are enjoying the various movies.  The original Batman movie of the 60’s was there late last year but it has since disappeared – probably lost the rights.

To all Netflixers, get aVPN account and watch US & UK content.  Best EVER, no extra cost except for the VPN account.

So why does Thor appear in Canada and not the US – why are the offerings not the same?
