Check Out the Notes Steve Jobs Used for His Original iPhone Keynote [PICS]

The keynote given by Steve Jobs to introduce the original iPhone will go down as one of the greatest moments in smartphone history. Apple’s foray into the cellphone market changed the way we use our phones today, and also forced competitors to step up their game (well, except for RIM and Nokia).

It’s been well known that Jobs rehearses his keynotes to perfection, hence his flawless presentations on media event days. Well now, some images of his original iPhone keynote notes have surfaced on the web.

Take a look at the pictures below, that were uploaded to Flickr by Jesse Wu, from Macworld 2007. They show some extremely simple numbered notes that helps Jobs remember what to say next and what to expect. Below the notes on the podium are three iPhones to ensure he has backups during the presentation.

Here’s a video of the keynote if you haven’t seen it before:

Part 1:

Part 2:

There were many doubters of the iPhone, such as this classic clip of Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer dismissing the device. My favourite line: “…and it doesn’t appeal to business customers because it doesn’t have a keyboard.”

I still have my precious original iPhone, collecting dust in its box. Do you?

I’ve got a 4GB first gen iPhone in my room, retired. I finally switched to the 4S in October.

Nope.  I always sell off old outdated crap before it becomes the price of a paper weight.
