Earlier today we mentioned that Pod2G had made some progress with his new jailbreak, and had jailbroken The New iPad, untethered, on iOS5.1. Pod2g has since posted video proof of his jailbreak on his personal blog.

Pod2g had already used this jailbreak on his iPhone 4, and in a Tweet he posted today, says that if this jailbreak works on both the iPhone 4 and The New iPad, it should work on iPhone 4S and iPad 2, as well. Of course more testing is required to figure all this stuff out.
Still no release date for this new jailbreak, but it is getting closer!
