Facebook Launches App Center in the US, But Here’s A Workaround for Canada
Earlier we saw a leaked screenshot of Facebook’s App Center launching slightly earlier than it should have, but now it is official. Facebook has just announced App Center as a ‘new place to find social apps’.
Today we’re launching the App Center to make it easier to find apps you can enjoy with friends.
The App Center features mobile and web apps, such as Draw Something, Pinterest, and Nike+ GPS, and new apps including Jetpack Joyride, Ghosts of Mistwood, and Ghost Recon Commander.
App Center launches today only in the U.S., and will be rolling out for everyone in a few weeks they say. Want a workaround to preview it on your iPhone in Canada?
Here’s how to get Facebook’s App Center to work outside the USA and in Canada:
1. Install and launch Onavo Extend (install the profile as per the app instructions). This app will provide you with a U.S. IP (Yes, that means you can use Pandora Radio in Canada).
2. Turn off WiFi and connect to 3G. Launch Facebook. Done.
Once you reveal the left hand sidebar in Facebook, you’ll see a new section titled App Center and a list of your apps installed on your iPhone and Facebook. Tap ‘See All’ and you’ll see all the Facebook connected apps installed on your iPhone. Tap an app and it’ll launch immediately.

Doesnt seem to work for me. Do I need to create a us iTunes account?
No. Try force closing Facebook after launching Onavo.
I’ve always had an Apps section in FaceBook.
Same here. I’ve had that for a long time already. Without going through a US IP.
Didnt work for me either. Nothing was said about using an US account.
the app listed doesn’t even appear to give a us ip. to me it just shows up as an app that compresses your data
Launch Onavo. You’ll be able to get US Netflix and launch Pandora.
nope. still doesn’t work. like I said onavo extend is a data compressor and doesn’t give me a us ip like a hotspot shield or others
Yes, I know it’s a data compressor but it does route through Amazon servers. You’re over 3G right?
yup. even when I open my browser to pandora it says “cannot open page Safari cannot open the page because the address is invalid.”
my roomate‘s sister makes $82/hour on the laptop. She has been out of work for six months but last month her check was $19771 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this site

Guys, you have to launch Onavo Extend and then install a profile. That will give you the proxy.
Try this link thru your iPhone…you get the web page for the app center.
