Podcasts iOS App Updated with New Features and Bug Fixes
Apple has updated the Podcasts iOS app today with various improvements and bug fixes. Numerous users have noted laggy and buggy issues with the app that was released a month ago. As for new features, the number of new episodes now show up in your library and playback speed is remembered to name a few. Full change log below:
What’s New in Version 1.0.1
Podcasts 1.0.1 provides a number of improvements, including:
• Significant improvements to performance and stability
• Podcasts in your library now show the number of unplayed episodes
• Top Stations now show the podcast title if artwork is missing
• Playback speed is now remembered when playing the next episode
• Fix for a problem where the Subscribe button is inactive
• Resolution of an issue where Top Stations artwork may not appear

Good news. The app was nearly unusable for me.
Still a lot of problems with this app under iOS 6 but that’s probably to be expected. Start-up lag is a good 30 seconds for me and it’s often unresponsive.
That’s not good news.
