ClearShot Is A Handy Credit Card Sized Smartphone Stand
Whether you own an iPhone, Android, or another branded smartphone, the cameras are improving by the year. In some cases, people have dished their cameras because it’s much more pleasant to carry around a single device. But there is one issue, taking pictures with a smartphone can be a tricky task. Quality pictures can require a stabilization device, such as a stand or tripod.
In an effort to snap quality photos and videos, Michael Carney had developed what’s called a “ClearShot.” Currently a Kickstarter project, ClearShot is a credit card sized stand for your smartphone.
ClearShot’s aim is to not only improve photography skills, but also work as a portable stand. The credit card sized stand can be tapped into ready position with a simple pinch, then just insert your smartphone in the center. Pushing the tabs upward and downward will allow users to change the viewing angle between -45 and 45 degrees.
So I wouldn’t suggest going out to purchase a clunky, expensive stand just yet. This stand can be used in multiple situations:
- Photography (especially when travelling)
- Internet browsing
- Video tripod
- FaceTime/Skype calls
- Time Lapse
- Watching movies
- With a portable wireless keyboard for email and text messaging
The ClearShot stand was launched on July 27th, 2012 on Kickstarter. You can back the project for just $15.00 today. Currently Carney has raised $5,214 out of his $20,000 goal. If the goal is reached, your ClearShot will arrive in November.
