Instagram has just pushed out their 3.0 update in the App Store and it brings a new feature to view your photos on a map. There’s also a new redesigned profile screen and upload screen, along with other app enhancements and bug fixes. Here’s the full change log below:

– View your photos on a map (visit your profile and tap Photo Map to select which of your photos will be viewable on the map)

Upon launching Instagram after the update, you will be prompted to check out the new map feature. It will allow you to select which images you want to be made viewable to all. It only includes images you enabled the geotag for. In a nutshell, it basically mimics the Places view within Photos.
Last month, the photo sharing app surpassed 80 million users (which now includes Android users; yuck!) and 4 billion photos shared. Instagram was recently acquired by Facebook for $1 billion dollars. It still doesn’t have a way to make money. Welcome to 2012.
