TELUS Launches 4G LTE Network in St. Catharines [Update]

TELUS has announced the launch of 4G LTE in St. Catharines, part of the company’s $650 million investment in Ontario over the next three years to expand wireless networks.

“TELUS is committed to offering the best customer experience and launching our 4G LTE service in St. Catharines is an excellent example of how we’re doing that,” said Piero Fusco, director of sales, TELUS.

We are continuing to expand this new technology, community by community, so that by the end of the year many more Ontario residents are expected to have access. It’s an ambitious undertaking.”

TELUS says their 4G LTE network now covers more than 65% of the Canadian population. Before the end of 2012, other areas in Ontario set to get 4G LTE include Sudbury and Collingwood. Other areas where the network recently launched include: Leamington, Oshawa, Whitby, the Niagara region and Brantford. Let us know how those LTE download speeds are!

Update: TELUS has just announced it has also launched its 4G LTE network in Lloydminster, AB. Jasper and Hinton are set to also get LTE before the end of the year.
