Corning Demos The Strength of Gorilla Glass 3 at CES [VIDEO]

Corning announced its new Gorilla Glass 3 just prior to the start of CES 2013. Their booth at the electronics trade show has been demonstrating the third generation of their Gorilla Glass, which made its debut on the original iPhone back in 2007.
What makes Gorilla Glass 3 so strong and scratch resistant? It’s the addition of their new Native Damage Resistance technology:
With its new Native Damage Resistance™, Gorilla Glass 3 has been developed to provide improved durability to withstand deep scratches and cracks in the glass. As a result, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance provides enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility, and better retained strength once a scratch occurs.
Engadget filmed a demonstration put on by Corning at their booth–check out the video below:
We can look forward to seeing Gorilla Glass 3 make its way into the leading smartphones soon.
