TELUS Launches $50 Unlimited Plan with 6GB, 4G LTE in Thunder Bay

TELUS has announced the official launch of their 4G LTE network in Thunder Bay.

“TELUS is committed to offering the best experience for our customers and the launch of our 4G LTE service in Thunder Bay is an excellent example of how we’re delivering on this promise.” said Hilen Wong, TELUS director of national retail.

By the end of the year, TELUS notes other regions in Collingwood, Port Colborne, North Bay, Cornwall and Woodstock will also get 4G LTE.

Also, to celebrate the launch of the new 4G LTE network TELUS is offering the following promotional plan in Thunder Bay until February 7th, 2013 (the plan aims to rival TbayTel offerings and what we’ve seen from Virgin):

  • $50 rate plan free of premium charges for new and existing customers
  • unlimited Canada-wide calling
  • voicemail, caller ID
  • 6GB of data

TELUS says their 4G LTE network now covers 70 percent of the Canadian population. In December, their 4G LTE network launched in Brantford.
