BlackBerry 10 Launch Event Livestream Starts at 10AM EST, 7AM PST

Any comeback by RIM will be dependent upon the quantity and quality of apps available in their BlackBerry World app marketplace (formerly known as App World). CNET has an interesting read on how RIM’s vice president of developer relations, Alec Saunders, has been tirelessly traveling the globe trying to court developers for the BlackBerry 10 platform:
Saunders knew he needed to get the long-ignored BlackBerry developer base excited again. In 48 out of the last 52 weeks, he has been on a plane circling the globe in an effort to drum up interest in every corner. Combine the mileage he and his team of nearly 100 evangelists have logged for RIM, and there would be enough to travel to the moon and back five times over, or 2.5 million miles.
BlackBerry World will have 70,000 apps at launch, which RIM claims is the most apps a mobile platform has had at launch.
RIM announced a couple days ago it would be live streaming its simultaneous launch taking place around the globe, with events in Toronto along with New York, London, Paris, Dubai, Johannesburg, Jakarta and Delhi.
You can check here for the latest event list, which will have the major announcements start at 10AM EST and 7AM PST. Grab a coffee and stay tuned for the show. Do you think RIM is going to make a comeback, or is this another case of too little, too late?
