TELUS has announced it has plans to expand its LTE network in British Columbia to Nelson, Hudson’s Hope and Big White Ski Resort. The company will invest $100,000 at each destination set to launch later this year. For the latter, another $100,000 will be invested to expand LTE coverage to more areas of the mountain to cover more ski runs.
Chris Jensen, the TELUS general manager for northern BC says the investment in Hudson’s Hope will allow residents “faster wireless Internet while around town or travelling along Highway 29.”
TELUS says their 4G LTE rollout reached nearly 90 per cent of British Columbians in 2012 with further expansion set to take place this year. Who’s excited for this?
