Check Out This New iOS 7 & iPhone 6 Design Concept [VIDEO]

A new design concept published by Apfellike.com shows yet another iOS 7 UI overhaul, as well as an iPad mini-like design for the next generation iPhone i.e iPhone 5S or iPhone 6. The concept seems to follow the widely rumoured “flat design” which Jony Ive apparently has in mind for the upcoming iOS 7. Similarly, a future iPhone with a slightly larger display could very well look like a smaller iPad mini.

The iOS 7 re-design concept looks much simpler and cleaner than the current iOS 6 design. The icons and text look flatter, with no shadows or gradients. A neat looking notifications banner has been added, as well as a new lockscreen with a re-designed time and date display.

This is a concept for IOS, not an IOS “7” concept.

Interesting. The circular design would be handy for iPhoneInCanada, as it would make the new branding feel more iPhone-related. You guys would be ahead of Apple!

Honestly though, I find circular design elements to just take up too much space. It’s harder to fit content into them. Photos seem over-cropped all the time and there just ends up being a lot of wasted space.

Also, a lot of these concepts look good when you don’t think about them, but when you actually think through how they’d work in real life, they’re not such a great idea. Would I want anybody to be able to pick up my phone after someone’s texted me and reply back to them without entering a password? Not really. Seems convenient, until you think about the real reason behind the lock screen and password. It’s to keep unauthorized users out of your phone.

Here is an idea.. Quick reply on lock screen would require user to input passcode lock when pressing send. .. Or maybe if iphone 6/5s would have a fingerprint reader where home button is to authorize send… Common Jony Ive work your magic!! Its crunch time!!

Yeah, I like those ideas. I’m looking forward to seeing what kinds of magic a fingerprint sensor could enable.

Let’s just hope Apple comes up with nice improvements and innovation for the new iPhone because if we just get some minor evolution over camera/screen/speed it won’t be a great move. Apple should be done with evolution, and start innovation again. Otherwise Android will take over…
