I use unblock-us and it works very well but it isn’t true that all sites can’t see your location. Case in point: I use Hulu on my PC and Xbox 360 but I cannot use the CW app on the 360 due to location restrictions despite my IP showing a US address. Also, crowdtap restricts my access due to location issues despite my IP being US as well.
Unblock-us is a dns redirect service, not VPN
I use Witopia. It’s cheaper for a full year’s service at I think 70$ a year. Works like a charm, I’ve watched US Netflix, Hulu and what not. I think Sun is nice if you want a month’s worth of service, but otherwise Witopia (and maybe there are even cheaper ones) is a better option than Sun’s 120$ annual subscription. Also I feel like you should put some of the pricing in the article, would help give an idea of what to expect 😉

Point well made. It’s irritating to read what seems like an ad passing for a blog post. This happens far too much on iPhoneincanada. As a matter of policy, any article which promotes a product or service which was gifted to the authors should have this made clear.
Does it work with routers?
Is using this type of service to access content that isn’t supposed to be available in your country illegal?
OR spend $20 on OS X Server and do YOUR OWN VPN! No monthly fees, on your own private machine….. sorted….
Yup, lack of pricing in the article looks a bit iffy… begs the question why isn’t it there.
