How to Report iMessage Spam Messages to Apple [Tutorial]

Apple revealed during its 2013 Q3 earnings call over 900 billion iMessages have been sent to date. With these astronomical numbers, it’s inevitable for spam to emerge and affect users. Apple has posted a new support document (via @beaugiles) outlining how customers can contact the company directly should they encounter iMessage spam messages.

Here’s how to do it:

  1. Include a screenshot of the message you have received (To take a screenshot on your iOS device, press and release the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time. The screenshot is added to your Camera Roll album)
  2. Include the full email address or phone number you received the unwanted message from.
  3. Include the date and time that you received the message.
  4. Send an email with the following details to: im***********@****ud.com

Apple recommends contacting your carrier if you are receiving SMS/MMS spam. These messages show up in the Messages app labeled as ‘Text Message’ and the Send button will show green. Are you getting any spam messages via iMessage?

Yeah why run with outdated hardware when you can get the latest, that performs the same, yet in a more fragile package.

Haven’t gotten any spam on iMessage, but Text messages for sure. Not many but its annoying. Fido should be doing something about this other then blocking numbers, they have the ability to track down these companies.
