Fido, Koodo Promo: $50 Unlimited Plan with 1GB Data [Quebec Only]
Looks like some more regional offers have popped up from Fido and Koodo, specifically for residents in Quebec. Both companies are offering the following plan for $50 per month:
- Unlimited Canada-wide minutes (daytime, evenings, incoming)
- Unlimited SMS/MMS
- Call display, caller ID, voicemail, call waiting, conference calling
- 1GB data ($10/GB overages)

These plans are available month to month and on two year terms. However, the minimum monthly spend will not meet the requirement for an iPhone.
The move looks to be a push back against regional carrier Videotron’s similar unlimited 1GB plan, which was matched last week by Bell and Virgin Mobile; it was just a matter of time before Fido and Koodo jumped alongside Virgin Mobile, in the ongoing Canadian wireless tango. Videotron also offers a $59.95 per month plan which comes with 6GB of data.
Unfortunately, these offers are only available to Quebec residents. For the rest of us outside the province, the $50 plan only comes with 500 anytime minutes, 500MB of data and 5PM evenings and weekends. Let us know if you’re going to jump on these offers.

This offer and the same one at rogers are not available for iphone….(?)
Why offer on IPHONE? Remember they are not Competing! They are Matching. By chance Videotron dont offer Iphone so Why offer it.
If you want an Iphone. better bend over and take it!
waaaa, So, wait, when there are companies actively competing with the big 3 they drop their prices? hummm yeah they are right new national wide carrier will be bad for Canada.
Not sure why plan prices are different in various provinces. Bugs me. We get shafted here in BC.
Same here in Ontario!
This is what they call there’s enough competition!
ReALLY?? Prove it?
lol it’s provincial competition. so stupid.
And the big 3 are wondering why people are clamoring for a 4th national carrier? I know it’s just hope at the moment but maybe Verizon (or someone else) will change the wireless landscape so that these offers are available to people nationally instead of the lucky few who are fortunate enough to have a regional carrier.
If I already have an unlocked iphone, can I subscribe to these plans?
Yes
